Mental Skills Lab-October 2026
Dancer, does this sound like you?
You want to walk into this season sharper, steadier, and more confident.
You compare yourself to other dancers sometimes, and it messes with your focus.
When a correction stings, you want to actually use it instead of carrying it around with you for the rest of class.
You want to feel steady when it counts, without needing everything to go perfectly first.
You’re ready to stop leaving your best performances in the studio.
You want a mental game that matches the hours you put in physically.
Then you’re in the right place.
What if this was the season you trained your mind like you train your body?
What if you walked into every rehearsal and every stage with a plan for your mindset, not just your choreography?
What if you trusted yourself enough to stop needing everything to go perfectly first?
What if corrections made you sharper instead of smaller?
What if you showed up to this season already prepared, not scrambling to catch up?
That's what the Mental Skills Lab is built for.
This is mental performance training. Real tools, real practice, real results. The same kind of work that helps elite performers thrive under pressure. You'll work through it live, alongside other dancers just as committed to leveling up this season.
Open to dancers of all ages and levels (11+), whether you're competing, training pre-professionally, auditioning, or dancing in college. If you're ready to lock in for this season, this Lab is for you.
"After working with Ashley, I felt more confident in my ability to perform and audition. I knew I was prepared and at my best."
-Chloe Galkin, Commercial Dance College Student in NYC
During your Mental Skills Lab, you'll learn:
How to tell what actually happened from the story your brain builds around it, so one mistake doesn't wreck your whole day.
How to find what you actually love about dance and the dancer you want to become, so you have something to hold onto when the season gets hard.
A simple way to start and end every class locked in, not just showing up and hoping it goes well.
Tools to calm yourself down fast when things start to feel like too much.
What actually helps you feel ready before you perform, and what quietly works against you.
How to focus on what's actually yours to control, so a score doesn't decide how you feel about your season.
How to recognize when your inner critic is talking, and how to stop letting it run the show.
Every session is live, interactive, and practical.
You'll walk away with something you can use immediately.

FAQ
What if I can't make one of the sessions?
Sessions will be recorded and sent to you if you can't attend live, but this is designed to be experienced together, not as a self-paced course you watch on your own. The group dynamic, real-time coaching, and live practice are what make this work. Show up live whenever possible.
How many dancers will be in the group?
I'm keeping the group intentionally small so everyone gets personalized attention and we can build real community.
What do I need to participate?
A quiet space, a device with video capability, a notebook and pen, and a willingness to show up and engage. That's it.
Is this like therapy?
Nope. This is mental skills training for performance. Think of it like strength training, but for your mindset.
I've taken Ashley's mindset classes before. Will I still get something out of this?
Yes. Mindset training works the same way technique training does: it's not something you master once and move on from. You wouldn't expect one turns class to fix your turns forever, and mental skills are the same. The Lab goes deeper into the why behind the tools, not just the tools themselves, and gives you a chance to practice them in real time with a group instead of just knowing about them. Even dancers who've heard these concepts before tend to walk away with a new layer of understanding, because where you are in your season (and your head) changes what a concept means to you.
